Jig & Pop TUNA

July and August offers great inshore fishing as well, but the offshore fishing (tuna) really starts to ramp up, just off our coastline, sometimes within sight of the beach. This is when we switch gears towards getting clients on Tuna offshore Run & Gun / Jig & Pop style! We primarily focus on Bluefin Tuna but over the past few seasons the mid-shore Yellowfin Tuna bite has also been great fun! It’s a very humbling experience to watch Giant Bluefin Tuna and Yellowfin Tuna air out on your popper! A perfect trip for a new Captain, fisherman or boat owner - or just someone trying to get familiar with the North East Jig & Pop game. It definitely helps to do your first trip offshore with an experienced, licensed USCG Captain, first - hand, before doing it alone!

Most of this action occurs within site of Block Island and Cape Cod! Contact Capt. Pete directly regarding these trips if, you own a vessel that is rigged for this kind of fishing and need an experienced Captain and everything needed for tuna fishing, including rods, reels, tackle, gear, safety equipment, etc.
